The North West Museum of Road Transport re-opened on 9th September 2006.

To mark this special occasion of the first public opening of the Museum since the last weekend in September 1994, a special event was held at the Museum. There has also been a special model bus of  Widnes Corporation Leyland National commissioned and only 500 have been produced with "St Helens" on the destination. Open link for details of this model.

Opening Times

Every Saturday & Sunday from 12.00 - 16.00
On the first Sunday of the month we operate free vintage bus rides

School Holiday extra opening

Please note we can only open during school holidays if we have volunteers to do this
if there are no dates shown here then we are not open



Drinks & Snack Machines are available inside the Museum.

                 Concessions  £2.00

Educational & Group Visits can be arranged anytime.
We also cater for coach parties and private parties.
