Widnes 38 was purchased in December 1964 at a cost of £5,201 and remained in service into the Halton Transport years.
On withdrawal in 1985 the bus was given a full repaint by Halton's own painter Keith Harper in the Halton Transport livery
that it finished its service days in and donated to North West Museum of Road Transport
