TOW BUS

This vehicle was new to Widnes Corporation in April 1968 and remained in passenger service until 1980 when it was then withdrawn and
converted into a recovery vehicle. It was replaced as a recovery vehicle in October 2000 and joined the other Widnes Corporation vehicles at the
North West Museum of Road Transport
  Below are pictures of No 48 with the tow wagon it replaced, as a service bus and during its conversion to a tow bus.
This tow bus now resides at the Greater Manchester Museum of Transport.
